Since 1985 the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Scholarship Organization has given away over $230,000 worth of scholarship assistance to young women in Wisconsin Rapids and the surrounding areas. Through our program we are committed to empowering young women not only through higher education, but also by giving them the skills to be successful in their future careers. Miss Wisconsin Rapids serves our community by promoting her own individual platform, acting as a spokesperson for Miss America's national platform (Children's Miracle Network Hospitals) and volunteering at local non-profit organizations throughout the area. Women between the ages of 17-24 residing in Wisconsin Rapids or the surrounding areas are eligible to compete.
We are a preliminary competition to the Miss Wisconsin and Miss America Organizations. The Miss Wisconsin Rapids Organization is run solely by volunteers.
The Miss Wisconsin Rapids Scholarship Organization is a local preliminary competition to the Miss Wisconsin and Miss America Competitions. This means that the winner of the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Pageant will go on to compete at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant held in June in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Whomever wins Miss Wisconsin, advances to the national, Miss America competition.
